Fantastic Korean Food way out here in Yucca Valley! Great service, great tasting food! Highly recommend the Fried Pork Cutley!

The food definitely hit the spot. Large portions, filling, authentic, plus the owner is super friendly and warm. Having had Korean food in nyc and other major cities this place is comparable and it has the added bonus of making you feel at home. Can't wait to come back for the rest of the menu!

This place is AMAZING!!! We stopped by on our way home and were blown away by the exceptional quality of food, friendly staff and service, and charm. We even took a photo out front so we will never forget this place!

In the recent years I have become a connoisseur of Korean food, or so I would like to think.. Having just moved back from Chicago where there's some really great Korean food I'm always looking for a good Korean spot. As a visitor to Yucca Valley it is not the first place I would expect to find great Korean food.. however, 8 Star is the best Korean food I've ever had... It is so delicious. I found myself becoming sad as my meal was coming to an end.. the owners are the nicest Korean couple and they make everything from scratch and it's all extremely fresh.. you can purchase the sides in glass jars to take home. The quality is superior and the flavor is unbelievably good!! An absolute must if you're in or around Yucca Valley!! I must add that the restaurant is very, very clean and inviting and has a great bright and happy ambience also.

Xmas day after hike in J Tree. The most laughable cluster. Small neat clean place. Get there at 1:00 ( J Tree was stupid busy). Walk in and notice two large Asian families ordering and settling in to this small place. Two older women and one old man are the staff. Lady 1 running the register was both a pain and very sweet. They could not keep up. I watched her assist and argue and make coffee drinks for some wannabe K pop hipsters. I stood at the register for 20 minutes before she returned to take my order. Everyone behind me in line had left. Lazy 2 was no help she was bussing tables but managed to get everything delivered to the wrong table. When she realized it ans carried it to the other table, that table wanted assurances that the others had not eaten from the meal. The 2nd table got their bimimbap and then questioned if it was the bimimbap they ordered... This set off another round of angry discussion in Korean that i wish I could translate. 45 minutes in and we got our food. Please don't name the dish but order by number on the screen! Dumplings were crunchy and meaty. Ramen was spicy and tasty. Rice bowl with chicken teriyaki was not to sweet and had a great flavor of ginger. You can't make this stuff up,

I came here when it was owned by someone else, was happy to see it here but sad the previous owner wasn't there anymore. Didn't interact with the new owners, but service was friendly. We came in after a hike in Jtree and needed to get our calories back. Parking: Super easy, it shares a lot with other businesses Pay the counter, find a seat. Although later I saw them sitting people and providing menus, just depends. I can tell they're working through their process during busy times, so just have a little patience if they are busy. :) Food: ban chan - little light on that front jap chae - yep still delish and flavorful kalbi - would get this again and again tofu soup - lacked depth of flavor, and I love when it's spicy & garlicky, this wasn't the case friend chicken - it's just battered lightly and fried with like a spicy dipping sauce. I would pass on this. All in all I did enjoy and would come back.

Came here on a Monday for lunch and had a pretty good experience! We called in the order ahead of time because we were on a time crunch, and they were happy to accommodate. Food was ready in less than 5min when we got there, and it was delicious. We tried the kimchi fried rice, yakisoba, and vegetable pancake - all very good. The yakisoba had great salty flavor, but not too salty. Nice chew on the noodles, and the toppings were well-cooked. The kimchi fried rice has a good amount of heat - just enough to taste it without overwhelming the rest of the flavors. Probably the best dish we tried. The vegetable pancake was also pretty good, though we all agreed that a little more crisp would have made it better. They also sell boba and taiyaki, which we will probably try next time we dine there.

We were going in for a boba drink, except we got hooked for their menu. We were greeted right away by this very energetic aunty and mind you it was 45 minutes before closing time. We ordered the tofu soup and shrimp fried rice. The portion is rather huge and the foods are flavorful. The service was A+, the lady checks on us to make sure wether we need more top up on side dish. This small business deserves to give a shot for sure!
